What to do if you have heel pain & plantar fasciitis

1) Footwear is important. Make sure you are in shoes that are supportive and comfortable. Avoid wearing high heels, sandals, and flip flops while treating these conditions since these can often worsen and aggravate the injury further. Over the counter orthotics may also be helpful for certain individuals. 

 

2) Night spints are helpful in providing short term relief. These should provide a gradual, low load stretch. It may be uncomfortable at first and difficulty to sleep in which is a common complaint for many patients.
